Georgian oak bureau bookcase with moulded cornice over pair of panelled doors with mahogany crossbanding, the bookcase with adjustable shelves and later dividers, the base with fall front and fitted interior with small drawers and pigeon holes, three long drawers with later brass handles on bracket feet. Dimensions: 113cm wide x 56cm deep x 37cm deep x cornice x 105cm base height x 226cm total height x 76cm high slope. Condition: Good solid condition, later alterations to the cornice and interior of the bookcase, repairs to the interior, later handles, some minor damage and general age.

Beautiful walnut secretary from the 19th century, it has a top drawer with a key, it also has a central folding door that hides three drawers (2 small and one larger) when opened, and a leather-upholstered desk. It is newly restored and cured against moths. An opportunity not to be missed.
This elegant antique fruitwood “Secretaire a Abattant” was made in France, circa 1890; tall secretary desk with classic straight lines features a shaped top over a frieze drawer. The front opens to reveal a fully equipped lemongrass interior theater decorated with three working drawers and a wide-open niche for books and letters. The writing surface is upholstered with a black leather cover. The bottom has three drawers for additional storage. The desk is in excellent condition and has a rich walnut patina; It would be a useful addition to a small library or study, because it can be quickly folded down to create more space. Two original keys included.

Very extraordinary little transformation furniture made of solid walnut.

When we are closed, we see an obviously three -way side table on curved legs and freely cut fruits.
On closer inspection, the two upper pegs turn out to be a sham drawer. Even the bottom drawer cannot be opened when closed.

The cover plate can be folded forward, results in a writing surface and gives the view freely on the writer’s part hidden inside the piece of furniture. This in turn can now be pulled out, unlocks the bottom drawer and locks up at the top.

This results in a women’s furniture that can be used as a desk or as a secretary. The working height of the writing surface is 73 cm.

Condition:
Conditioned condition. Absolutely usable and suitable for everyday use.

A truly magnificent antique flame mahogany architectural biedermeier secretaire abattant, circa 1840 in date. The top section with a projecting cornice over an arched panelled door enclosed by applied shaped mounts. The lower section with a frieze drawer over a fall front which opens to reveal a fabulous interior fitted with drawers and a central cupboard, above three full width drawers drawers below. Complete with working locks and keys. A fabulous example of the timeless Architectural style. An absolutely wonderful Danish writing desk / secretary in teak. Designed by Nils Jonsson for HJN Møbler.

The secretary has a folding door with furniture behind it, two smaller shelves and three drawers. The middle drawer has a hidden mirror that folds up. All boxes have beveled corners and soft, rounded edges. Above the drawers there is also a shelf for small items, books etc. Integrated handle on the folding door.

The secretary’s folding door functions as a table top when it is folded down and here you can easily find a place to work/have a laptop!

The bottom of the secretary has three drawers with stylish, integrated handles. The boxes are very sturdy, fresh and entirely made of wood.

The secretary’s ends form the tapered legs in a single piece, which is a fantastically stylish detail!

All in all, a very nice piece of furniture that accommodates both good storage and a workplace on a very small floor space. In addition, very nicely worked and designed chest of drawers!
