Vintage very Rare early Dutch Modernism Design Amsterdam School Dining Chair set of 4. Made in the Netherlands, Amsterdam, 1910 / 1920’s period. Solid oak constructed chairs with fabric covered seats. Handmade oak wood arm chairs with wel thought lines and form. Nice tapered and formed front legs with a triangular formed back. Beautifully made with eye for detail in the construction as well as the overall design. They have no maker markings, other than number stamps on the bottom of each seat. Seats need new fabric. 2 chairs have old repairs in the back, as you can see in some pictures. And even these repairs have been done with eye for design and shape. A beautiful set of period armchairs in very good condition for their age and use. Each chair measures 79,5cm x 56cm x 51cm.
