Interestingly, the little coach illustrated at the center of this classic Hermes scarf is the coach designed for and commissioned by Carolina Bonaparte for the birth of her son to Napoleon, this miniature luxury coach was built by the famous coach builder J. Fr. Tremblay. Dating to the early 19th century, it is considered a masterpiece of French coach building.
