Vintage Design
Clement Meadmore was born in Australia in 1929. He studied in Melbourne Technical College aviation technology and later switched to industrial design. After graduating, he designed furniture and interiors and won the “Good Design Award” in 1952. He opened the “Gallery A” in 1955. In the 50s he worked in Melbourne and went to Sydney in 1960 to accept the position as a species director for the “Kond Nast Magazine Vogue Australia”. In 1963 he designed the “Sling Chair”, his last work in Australia and took his new residence in New York.
