French Regence chest of drawers in the typical Mazarine shape.
Three-tiered piece of furniture with striking, strongly curved corner mouldings at the bottom.
The drawers have a gentle double curve and are each divided into two sections by geometric marquetry. Wide darkwood inlays, accentuated by maple thread inlays, form the frames for the gilded handles typical of the style.
The sides are dominated by large diamond-shaped inlays.
On the top panel, we see twisted and intertwined ribbons on a walnut and burl wood base.
Wonderful, warm colour tone.
Condition: Restored and suitable for everyday use.
