Traditional Asian Teak Wood Bridal Chest

A traditional hand carved Asian bridal trunk. The Artisans crafted an intricate carved portrait of an Asian village, including Pagoda’s, bridges, ships, ocean, Chinese elm trees and various flora and fauna. All and all the many carvings are an encapsulated eye view of Asian life in the 19th Century. I found this piece in an antique store in China Town a section of Los Angeles California.
